Description

To satisfy the requirements for Honours in Quantitative Risk, students are required to produce an undergraduate thesis. In addition they are required to attend advanced lectures on topics chosen from an approved selection of courses in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Studies and Finance. They may also be required to attend advanced lectures given by other Departments or Schools.

Note: To enter Quantitative Risk (Honours), students must have completed Stage 3 of the Quantitative Risk plan in the Advanced Mathematics program. In addition, students must have permission from the Head of the School of Mathematics and Statistics. Intending Honours students should discuss their selection of Level III courses with the Director of Undergraduate Studies or the Director of the Financial Mathematics Program in the School of Mathematics and Statistics before starting stage 3. Students must complete 48 units of credit of Honours Mathematics and/or Statistics in order to be awarded the Honours degree.
