Description


The course comprises the aeronautical theory and associated ground training for Stage 1 of the Bachelor of Aviation (Flying). Included are all theory requirements for the issue of Private Pilot (Aeroplane) Licence (PP(A)L) with night flying privileges, namely Pre-solo Air Legislation, Basic Aeronautical Knowledge, PP(A)L and night flying theory. Students will also cover introductory material in the areas of aircraft engineering and maintenance. This course encompasses Phases 1 – 5 as detailed in the UNSW Manual of Flight Training and the Civil Aviation Safety Authority Day VFR Syllabus – Aeroplane. Practical flying training (AVIASC11) is a highly recommended adjunct to this course.
