Description

This course explores Indigenous Cultural Heritage Management from an Indigenous perspective. This approach is different to a Western Cultural Heritage Management perspective. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples of Australia have been acknowledged as the oldest living cultures in the world. With this tenure of knowledge their perspectives are critical to informing management practices that are necessary for maintaining and sustaining country, waterways, culture, heritage and the future.
