Description

Objectives: An understanding of the anatomy of the eye, ocular adnexa and visual system. This course also provides students with an introduction to the Learning Skills and Graduate Attributes required by Optometrists and Vision Scientists.

Brief Curriculum: Introduction to the gross anatomy of the head, brain, eye and adnexa; introduction to microscopic anatomy of the components of the eye and visual system; practical demonstrations of ocular anatomy using clinically relevant examination techniques; tutorials on information literacy, communication skills, problem solving and learning skills.
