Description

Note: This course is not yet offered. It will be offered from 2010.

Objectives: Further development of the clinical skills needed to competently examine patients with ocular disease, and recommend appropriate treatment and strategies for patients presenting with ocular disease.

Brief Curriculum: A minimum of 72 hours of clinical work related to ocular disease management - students are rostered to attend speciality clinics at the Optometry Clinic at UNSW and at external clinics; detailed clinical and therapeutic management of ocular disease conditions, observation and supervised management of clinical cases, co-management of patients with ophthalmology and general practice.
