Description

This course covers the science of engineering mechanics and its practical applications. Topics include the following: Plane kinematics and kinetics of rigid bodies; Equation of motion, Work and energy, Impulse and momentum; Virtual work; Gyroscopic effects; Gear kinematics; Gear trains and epicyclic gears; Static and dynamic balancing; Kinematics and kinetics of linkage and robotic mechanisms. Engineering applications.
