Description
Concentrates on more advanced authentic texts in key areas for professional translation such as public, academic and legal documents and excerpts from media. Includes practical skills and strategies relating to translators' examinations and professional practice.
Learning Outcomes
- Be able to convert a range of highly complex English written texts accurately and appropriately into Korean, conveying detailed information fluently
- Discuss a range of familiar topics on professional ethics relating to the translation
- Use socio-culturally appropriate language, along with appropriate register used in a wide range of contexts
- Examine critically one's own use of Korean, and use a range of strategies to extend their knowledge of Korean with minimal assistance.
