Description

Equips students with advanced-level all-round practical language skills, not only for everyday conversation but also for academic and various professional interactions.

Note/s: Includes lectures in Korean and field work in the Sydney Korean community.


Learning Outcomes

After completing this course, students should be able to:
  • Perform language functions needed to carry out specialised research and business
  • Understand and construct argumentative texts, reports, literary works, interviews and discussions
  • Use the Korean language appropriately according to formal/informal and written/spoken contexts
  • Understand and express an opinion on unfamiliar topics such as policy, economy, and culture.

Assessment

  • Class performance - 10%
  • Quizzes - 10%
  • Spoken tests- 30%
  • Written tests - 50%
