Description

Expands communicative skills in both spoken and written Korean to intermediate level, with an increasing emphasis on literacy skills. Consolidates knowledge of, and offers insights into, how the Korean language works. Emphasis on information gathering and organising skills as well as dictionary skills.


Learning Outcomes

After completing this course, students should be able to:
  • Use the language for basic practical purposes
  • Read and write short passages on personal and familiar topics
  • Understand the systematic nature of the grammar
  • Identify one's weaknesses in the Korean language and ways to improve them.

Assessment

  • Presentation - 10%
  • Assignments - 10%
  • Oral Presentations - 30%
  • Two written tests - 50%
