Description

This course examines the major issues pertinent to relational database management systems (DBMS) and studies how they are being applied in the business world. It explains advanced concepts used to design, implement and administer DBMS, and contains a strong element of practical database design and implementation with appropriate commercial software. The future development and application of database systems is also explored. The course also aims to refine communication, group work and research skills.
