Description


An introduction to the central concepts and issues of business IS project management and the practical benefits of project planning and management together with resource management. Practical sessions will be held in project planning and the use of a computer-based project management tool. Additional topics include project planning, selection, risk and evaluation metrics. This course also looks at managing business system user expectations and motivation, as well as project selection and budgeting, outsourcing, quality management, people skills, and negotiation skills. Case studies of examples from business systems development projects will be used.
