Description

For Honours (Research) candidates are required to present a thesis of 15,000-20,000 words and complete two seminars as approved by the School.

Learning Outcomes

Students who successfully complete the seminars and an Honours thesis should:
  • Develop skills in research design and strategies
  • Be critically conversant with a substantial amount of Indonesian language material
  • Be critically conversant with a range of theoretical and methodological framework in Indonesian studies
  • Enhance their skills in transforming research into written form
  • Enhance their skills in oral presentation.

Assessment

  • Coursework - 50%
  • Thesis - 50%
