Description

For Combined Honours, candidates are required to present a thesis and complete coursework as approved by the Heads of the two participating Schools.

Note: With the approval of the Head of School, courses outside the School carrying up to 12 units of credit may be substituted.

Learning Outcomes

Students who successfully complete the Honours program should:
  • Gain skills in the independent planning and conduct of research
  • Acquire active firsthand knowledge of theoretical and interpretive approaches
  • Gain the ability to guide their own independent and reflective learning in both disciplines
  • Become proficient in the construction and presentation of sustained written argument.

Assessment

  • Coursework and thesis as agreed between the Heads of the two Schools involved.
