Description

This course provides an overview of the impact of biotechnology in the achievement of contemporary objectives in the field of medicine, plant and animal science, and in food, marine and environmental sciences, and draws comparisons with conventional technologies. The concepts of bioethics, patenting and other regulatory issues are also introduced. The course is intended to cover the broad concept of biotechnology - its historical and contemporary relevance.
