Description
Two hours audio/visual comprehension and two hours of grammar/reading/written expression, plus one hour of cultural studies.
Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, students should be able to:
- Speak, write, listen to, and read in Spanish
- Become engaged with topics important in the Hispanic world
- Investigate and report on topics currently discussed in the Hispanic world
- Think critically about the role of the Hispanic world in global politics
- Appreciate the cultural production of the Hispanic world
- Appreciate the cultural and linguistic legacy of the Spanish empire
- Gain a better understanding of oneself and one's environment by examining the Hispanic world.
