Description Students will gain the conceptual and technical skills to develop either "stand alone" audio work or audio soundtracks in relation to other mediums such as video, installation and multimedia work. Technically, the following elements are covered: digital sound recording, editing and mixing; sampling; synthesis; audiovisual sound design. All students will gain proficiency on the basic operation of the sound studios. Various conceptual, aesthetic and philosophical approaches to audio practice will be introduced through critical discussion of examples and project work.
