Description This course introduces the student to the broad experience of working with photomedia. The course emphasises the development of a keen critical awareness in students by investigating the content and context of photographic images in contemporary visual art and culture. The questions of intent, content and context are focused toward the development of the individual's visual language. Students explore the possibilities of image-making processes by the acquisition of basic photographic technical skills including: 35 mm camera operation, B/W and colour processing/printing and related theory. Students are encouraged to explore, experiment and develop their ideas through the completion of set projects.
