Description Looks at the nature of research - in particular, research in a social context. Aims to equip students with basic skills in research design, data collection and analysis. In addition, the course presents concepts that will enable students to critically evaluate others' research. Covers information on descriptive and experimental research, and qualitative and quantitative approaches to design and analysis. Students will learn to apply basic techniques of data analysis, including inferential and descriptive statistics.
