Description Provides an overview and rationale for the BSW curriculum. Students are introduced to the scope and parameters of the social work profession, the diversity of levels and contexts of intervention, the range of theory and knowledge that informs social work practice, and the code of ethics that guides professional intervention. A variety of case studies and scenarios are used to illustrate this material. To reinforce the links between conceptual knowledge and practical application, contact will be made with a range of relevant agencies.
