Description This course is an objective 5 course which covers social issues arising from future scientific and technological developments and the role that the professional engineer or scientist can play in influencing future directions.
The course is taught through a combination of group activities, case studies, projects and seminars, and covers four major topic areas: professional ethics, environment-related issues, safety and liability, and controls of future technology. |
