Description This course will introduce students to digital imaging and output procedures as they apply to printmaking. Through lectures, demonstrations and projects, students will gain understanding and skills in the use of computing software and hardware as a means to extending the possibilities for the creation of unique and original works of art in a fine art context. Emphasis will be placed upon the applicability of methods and materials to artistic purpose; the pros and cons of these procedures as compared directly with traditional print practice, and the extension of traditional print media through the incorporation of these practices into existing technologies.
