Description This screenings course will offer an overview of experimental film and video from the 1960s to the present, incorporating international and Australasian practices. It examines neo avant-garde practices and theories of the 1960s and 1970s, as well as film and video art of recent decades. The course addresses the history and significance of the current proliferation of the moving image in the international art world and examines the impact of new technologies.
