Description Thinking clearly, reasoning productively, arguing well. These are skills essential in life in general and at University in particular. Philosophy has a lot to say about these practices, and also about the whole nature of human reason. Involves practical work on reasoning and argumentative strategies, and an introductory investigation into what good reasoning actually is. There is a great deal of modern philosophical investigation into these matters.
