Description
The key focus of this course is on the comparative, cross-national analysis of business systems, market and non-market institutions and management styles. A global perspective is taken, contrasting management systems in key regions such as Asia, Africa, Europe, North and South America. The course includes topics such as the dynamic interaction between markets and state intervention; paradigms of industrial development; doing business in emerging markets, inter-firm networks; the impact of economic reform; management practices; and the institutional climate for entrepreneurship.
