Description
This course examines the law protecting employment rights in the context of the challenges created by globalisation. We examine international labour conventions, including those concerning freedom of association, collective bargaining, equality and family responsibilities, and termination of employment, and how they are treated in Australian law and other legal systems. The course is a research-based elective: students will be assessed by a major research paper on an approved topic of their own choice.
