Description

Further concentrates on aspects of advanced German grammar and/or techniques of translation. Includes 1 hour per week discussion of German literary texts or individual project.

Learning Outcomes

On completion of this course, students should be able to:

Understand spoken German in a variety of academic situations
Deal productively with a variety of German language media
Recognise intercultural differences and/or similarities in German texts
Participate actively in conversations in accurate standard German
Construct German texts using appropriate idiomatic structures.

Written assignments - 40%
Tutorial presentation - 30%
Participation - 10%
Class test - 20%
