Description

Primarily intended for students enrolled in combined degrees who are unable to meet the prerequisites for Combined Honours. A thesis on a cross-disciplinary topic and a program of coursework negotiated between the Program and the appropriate School(s).

Learning Outcomes

Students who actively participate in the coursework and successfully complete an Honours thesis should:
  • Develop skills in research design and strategies
  • Be critically conversant with a range of theoretical approaches
  • Enhance their skills in transforming research and thinking into a major item of written work
  • Enhance their skills in oral presentation.

Assessment

  • Coursework (to be determined on a case-by-case basis) - 50%
  • Thesis (no more than 20000 words) - 50%
