Description

The course explains the basic concepts in statics and strength of materials including Newton's Laws, SI system of units, two dimensional force systems, moments and couples, equilibrium in two dimensions, stress, strain, stiffness and flexibility, analysis of bars, bending stress and measurement of strain, material properties, theories of faliure and composite materials.
