Description Builds on the methods of social work practice that students were introduced to in earlier courses, namely counseling individuals and families and working with groups. Explores the referral context, assessment frameworks, contracting processes and termination as issues common to working with individuals, families and groups. Aims to equip students with skills of engagement, exploration and case management. Focuses on understanding models of group work, group development and process. Encourages critical appraisal of models of direct practice.
