Description

Analyses the major issues faced by organisations in managing international alliances - from formation through to termination. Includes theory and process of partnership negotiations as practised across borders and across different types of multinational groupings. Examines and interrelates key issues in alliance management and governance, including power, interdependence and trust. This course makes extensive use of simulations and case studies to develop diagnostic and behavioural skills that enable analysis of cooperative strategies, increase negotiation repertoire, and strengthen competence. The scope of analysis encompasses business and non-business coalitions, including cross-national military alliances, supra-national state bodies and the not-for-profit sector.
