Description

Investigates the relationships between media and democracy. Considers debates about the form and operations of media power, the relations between media and government and the nature of democratic process. Particular emphasis will be placed on the role of digital media in facilitating new forms of political participation and protest: for example, e-politics, cyberdemocracy and tactical media.
