Description

Honours (Research) students are required to prepare a thesis of between 15,000 - 20,000 words which must be submitted by a date specified by the School and to complete two fourth year seminar courses. For details consult the School.

Learning Outcomes

Students who actively participate in and successfully complete 2 seminars and an Honours thesis will:

develop skills in research design and strategies
be critically conversant with a range of historiographical and theoretical approaches
enhance their skills in transforming research and thinking into written history
enhance their skills in oral presentation
have an awareness of history as a profession and a community of scholars.
