Overview of computer applications in petroleum engineering. Scientific programming languages. Introduction to mathematical software and spreadsheets. Basic probability and statistical concepts for geological applications. Cross-plotting. Use of spreadsheets for well log analysis and petrophysical evaluation. Computer contouring.
