Description An advanced course which emphasises function and control of the cardiovascular system; gas exchange in the lung, respiratory pathophysiology, preventive medicine and laboratory testing of the cardiorespiratory system in exercise physiology. Performance of the cardiorespiratory system in extremes of pressure and temperature is discussed. Extensive practical components involve mammalian preparations and human subjects.
Note: Enrolment in this course may be subject to quota restrictions. Such restrictions will only apply to students taking this course as an elective. |
