Description
This course will build on students' existing background in analytical chemistry to develop both theory and practice relating to the latest analytical techniques used in industry and research. The course covers method development, method validation and measurement uncertainty; theory, operation, instrumentation and applications for the major techniques in instrumental analysis, including separation techniques, mass spectrometry, hyphenated chromatography-mass spectrometry techniques, elemental atomic spectroscopy and mass spectrometry and electroanalytical techniques. There is a strong emphasis on practical experience.
