Overview
Home to award-winning student societies, including the first women in electrical engineering society, the school prepares its students for an exciting career with excellent opportunities in electrical engineering. The passionate staff of EE&T are innovative world leaders in their research fields.
The School’s degrees are challenging and rewarding, and equip students with transferable skills for a variety of careers and fields. Graduates are sought after by local and international companies and have excellent opportunities, with employment rates among our students the highest for engineering in any university in Australia. The school maintains excellent industry links through research and advisory boards, and has an active alumni network.
The School has many significant facilities to allow its academics and students to conduct its research in ground-breaking areas, such as the High Voltage Lab, a unique laboratory in Australia for teaching, testing and research activities in High Voltage Power Engineering, and the Australian National Fabrication Facility (NSW node). These facilities are part of the reason why the School has received the highest rating available by Excellence in Research for Australia (ERA) for “evidence of outstanding performance well above world standard".
