Overview

The School of Music & Music Education at UNSW offers both undergraduate and graduate programs in Music and Music Education, which are designed to give students a thorough insight into the theoretical and practical aspects of music whilst maintaining a flexibility that recognises students' different interests and backgrounds. Graduates of the School are presently employed in a variety of different fields including music teaching, concert organisation, composition, arranging, performance, broadcasting and in the music recording industry.

The School of Music and Music Education is located in the purpose-built Webster building on the Kensington campus, conveniently linked to all major city transport hubs and approximately 10 kilometres from the Sydney CBD.

The School offers a wide range of programs of study. At the undergraduate level, these include the Bachelor of Music, the Bachelor of Music/Bachelor of Education, the Bachelor of Music/Bachelor of Arts and the Diploma in Music. At the postgraduate level, both research and coursework programs are available.
