Overview

The School of Economics at UNSW has been consistently ranked first among the major Australian Universities in the quality of its teaching in Economics. The School comprises approximately 45 full-time academic staff engaged in teaching and research across a wide area of sub-disciplines within economics including econometrics and economic history.

The School undertakes the majority of teaching in the Bachelor of Economics degree program. Students can also major in Economics within the Bachelor of Commerce, the Bachelor of Arts and the Bachelor of Social Science programs. Combined degree programs are also available.

Specialisations include: economics, econometrics, economic history, financial economics, business strategy & economic management, business statistics and business economics.

The School is involved in teaching in three postgraduate programs. The Master of Commerce (MCom) is a Faculty-wide program in which students can choose a number of subjects in Economics, or can choose to major in Economics.
