Overview

The Geography program was established within the Faculty of the Built Environment(FBE) as a result of the restructuring of the Science Faculty at UNSW in 2001. The focus of this program is on key aspects of human geography, and on natural resource management and sustainable development.

Physical geography and remote sensing continues to be taught in the new School of Biological, Earth and Environmental Science (BEES).

All resources available in the former School of Geography for teaching and research continue to be available to undergraduate and postgraduate students studying Geography at UNSW. In addition, the Geography Program in FBE is supported by a wide range of Faculty resources utilised by other built environment programs, such as specialised computer laboratories, 3D visualisation software, design studios, and facilities management infrastructure.
