The School of Management at UNSW Business School, offers students the opportunity to specialise in one of three broad disciplinary areas: Human Resource Management; Organisation & Management Studies; and International Business.
The study of Human Resource Management provides a strong practical and theoretical grounding for understanding the policies and processes associated with the management of people in paid employment. In a climate of rapid economic and technological change, effective labour management is being seen as a critical component of the operation and strategic planning of both private-sector firms and public sector organisations.
Specialising in Organisation and Management Studies provides students with a multidisciplinary understanding of the relationships between organisations and staff.. This area of study is ideal preparation for a wide range of management roles, and equips you to deal with all kinds of fast-moving and continually evolving business environments.
International Business is a rapidly growing field of study dealing with the development, strategy, and management of multi-national enterprises in the global context of complex and dynamic business environments. Business is becoming increasingly international and the most effective business leaders and professionals of the future will be those who know how to deal with the problems of doing business and managing organisations in a complex and uncertain global business environment.
