Program Description
Program Objectives and Graduate Attributes
It is similar in scope to CSE's undergraduate BE (Computer Engineering) program, while still allowing for a variable mix between breadth and depth amongst sub-fields.
Program Structure
Students with a strong background in computing may be eligible to reduce the length of their degree by up to one year and should contact the School of Computer Science and Engineering for more information.
Entry Requirements
OR
A three year undergraduate degree equivalent to a standard Australian bachelor degree in computer science; and a high credit average achieved over the final two years of study.
OR
Completion of the Graduate Diploma of IT
Major(s)
Up to two of the following majors will be awarded on completion of the program. Students should apply to the CSE Student Office for the addition of a second major.

Course Groups
Course availability is subject to timetabling and teaching resources. Extended versions of any course may be used instead.
Project Option
Students are permitted to substitute 12-18uoc in their final semester with a project of equal value provided they meet the following criteria:
1. Have completed (or have advanced standing in) 72uoc; and
2. Have obtained agreement from a CSE academic supervisor; and
3. Have maintained a distinction level performance in the program.
Projects are graded, and students deliver a seminar and submit a written report. Students should seek agreement from a supervisor prior to submitting a Project Nomination form to the Postgraduate Coordinator.
