Program Description
The Graduate Certificate is intended as an entry level program for students with a degree in a related science discipline (for example pharmacy, health sciences, science education, or engineering) where chemistry has only been studied in the early stages of the degree. For students without a chemistry degree (that is, a major in chemistry), 12 UOC must be taken from the Chemistry courses in addition to the 24 UOC of Analysis and Management courses required in the program.
The Graduate Certificate program is normally completed within one year on a full-time or part-time basis. This is the first stage in an articulated program of Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma and Master of Science and Technology in Chemical Analysis and Laboratory Management. 24 UOC from the Analysis and Management courses in the Graduate Certificate can be credited towards a Graduate Diploma (program 5648) or Master of Science and Technology (program 8708).
