The Master of Optometry program provides advanced training in clinical and theoretical aspects of Optometry, with opportunities for specialisation in fields such as contact lenses, Occupational Optometry, and Behavioural Optometry.
The program may be completed in one year full-time or two or more years part-time. Courses offered will only be conducted if there is sufficient demand. The program consists of one core course in addition to a selection of courses from the electives listed below. The core course is to be taken in the first session of enrolment in this program. A total of 48 UOC is required for this degree. A number of the courses have pre-requisites, co-requisites or exclusions, as indicated in the course descriptions. Up to 12 UOC may be taken elsewhere in the University subject to the approval of the Head of School.
