Stream Outline
In order to fulfil the requirements of the degree students must complete a total of 96 UOC comprising of 72 UOC specialisation and 24 UOC electives.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
A student must hold a Bachelor of Engineering with at least Honours II/2 (or equivalent) or hold a Graduate Diploma of Engineering with at least a credit average in a relevant discipline or an equivalent qualification from UNSW or another recognised university or tertiary institution in order to be admitted to the stream.

Disciplinary knowledge courses (18 – 30 UOC): At least 18 UOC to be chosen from the list below:

- SOLA3010 Low Energy Buildings and PV (6 UOC)
- SOLA4012 Grid-Connect PV Syst (6 UOC)
- SOLA5052 Biomass (6 UOC)
- SOLA5053 Wind Energy Converters (6 UOC)
- SOLA5057 Energy Efficiency (6 UOC)
- SOLA9001 Photovoltaics (6 UOC)
- SOLA9104 Hybrid Renewable Energy Minigrids (6UOC)
- GSOE9010 Eng PG Coursework Res Skills (6 UOC)
- SOLA9914 Project Report (6 UOC)
- SOLA9915 Project Report (6 UOC)
At least 6 UoC Engineering and Technical Management (ETM) to be chosen from the approved ETM list.
The remainder of electives may be chosen from disciplinary or advanced disciplinary courses listed above. With the permission of the program authority, students may choose other courses, which they are eligible to enrol. Prerequisite requirements must be met. Up to 12 UOC of foundation courses (Level 3) may be approved by the program authority as prerequisites.
