Stream Outline

The Master for Risk Management (Policy and Compliance) specialisation focuses on the management of operational risks in service organisations. The specialisation follows a structure closely aligned with the Business Operations specialisation, focussing on the risks that organisations are exposed to through its systems and processes, and the actions of its employees. It offers a wider choice of cross-faculties electives and places a greater emphasis on risk management from a regulatory and compliance perspective.

Courses emphasise the statutory compliance aspect of risk management, and cover in detail concepts of audit, policy and governance and their relationship with risk management in organisations.

Who is it for?
The specialisation is well suited to non-business graduates and professionals who wish to follow a career path as Risk Manager in organisations where this role evolved from a function traditionally responsible with the management of safety, health and environmental risks.
