Plan Outline

The specialisation in Photovoltaics and Solar Energy is designed to build on the previous education of engineers from other engineering disciplines who are currently being attracted to the booming solar photovoltaic energy industry. Students undertake courses from the areas of photovoltaic devices and photovoltaic systems and applications. The Photovoltaics and Solar Energy specialisation is not available as a Master of Engineering Science Extension.

Plan Structure

Professional Development Courses:

A selection of professional development courses appropriate to the student's specilisation will be determined by the specialistion authority.

Specialisation Courses:

Please Note:
SOLA9001 and SOLA9002 are compulsory for all programs.

SOLA9001 and SOLA9002 should be completed before SOLA9003 and SOLA9006

SOLA9003 is compulsory for the Master program.

SOLA9006 Compulsory for Graduate Diploma and Master programs.
