Health Management (Kens) - PHCMMS8901 | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
The program is designed to provide students from countries with developing economies and health systems with the knowledge and skills to be competent health service planners, policy makers and managers. The program also caters for students from developed health systems who are involved, or choosing a career path, in international health. This program will enable students to focus and develop relevant planning and management knowledge from within a development framework as well as consider issues within the Australian health service context. Entry requirements, learning objectives and assessment requirements are the same as the Master of Health Management (External Plan). However, scenarios and examples used in course materials have been changed to make them relevant to less developed countries.
The program is divided into two components, for a total of 48 units of credit. These components are Core Courses (36 units of credit) and Electives (12 units of credit). For further details, see the Program Information.
Teaching mode
This plan is offered full-time or part-time in face-to-face mode. International students who require a student visa must undertake the program on a full-time basis.
