The Graduate Certificate in Arts in Interpreting (program 7325, plan code MODLDS7325) aims to prepare students for professional activities as interpreters. Courses in interpreting are offered in English and the following languages: French, German, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, Russian and Spanish.
Students are required to complete four courses (24 units of credit).
Full-time students are required to take the four core courses listed below in Semester 2: Part-time students are requierd to tak 2 core courses plus 2 elective courses over two semesters:
The program is intended for students who have a BA or equivalent with a major in a language and who have native or near-native bilingual profiency. Students who have successfully completed the requirements for the Graduate Certificate may apply to upgrade to the Master of Arts or Graduate Diploma in Interpreting and Translation Studies.
