Plan Outline

The specialisation in Civil Engineering provides students with advanced study options across the breadth of specialisations in Civil Engineering. Some courses within this specialisation are available by external mode.

Plan Structure

Professional Development Courses
A selection of professional development courses appropriate to the student's specialisation will be determined by the specialisation authority.

Specialisation Courses
Students may choose courses from any postgraduate specialisation offered from the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering plus the following 4 courses:

CVEN9405 Urban Transport Planning Prac (6 UOC)
CVEN9415 Transport Systems Part 2 (6 UOC)
CVEN9723 Design of Construction Ops (6 UOC)
CVEN9727 Constr Estimating & Tendering (6 UOC)

The availability of the specialisation courses may vary from session to session and courses may be offered in alternate years. Please check School's website for current information. http://www.civeng.unsw.edu.au

Project Courses:

CVEN9901 Special Topic in Civ & Env Eng (6 UOC)
CVEN9930 Masters Project (12 UOC)

CVEN9950 Extension Project (24 UOC)

Students may take CVEN9901, CVEN9930 or CVEN9950 depending on the program they are enrolled in, their performance in courses and the approval of the specialisation authority.
