Plan Outline

Information Science

This major provides an overview of the theory and practice of designing and building computer systems for the processing of information in a range of disciplines.

Plan Structure

Information Science majors in program 8508 complete the following:

Core Courses

Complete the following five courses:
Secondary Core Requirement

Complete three courses from the following:
Elective Requirement

Complete four courses from those listed above, or any other COMP for which the pre-requisite has been met.

Project Option

Students may replace three of the above four elective courses with a project provided they have a Distinction average, have obtained the agreement of an academic supervisor, and apply to enrol in their final semester.
